Rami Ausi, MD – Your Bethel Park, PA Neurologist
Rami Ausi, MD earned his medical degree in Damascus, Syria, followed by a four-year neurology residency in Syria. He then moved to the United States and completed a residency in neurology at the University of Iowa Hospital and clinics.
After this residency, Dr. Ausi completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with an emphasis on neuromuscular medicine and electromyography (EMG). He then worked in a clinical practice setting with Excela Health at Westmoreland Hospital and St. Clair Hospital for an additional eight years before deciding to open a private practice at Neurology Specialists of Greater Pittsburgh.
With a total of eight years of neurology residency and ten years of professional experience, Dr. Ausi possesses vast knowledge of neurologic diagnoses and treatment. He is committed to always staying abreast of new research and developments in neurology by constantly reading journal articles and attending lectures.
Dr. Ausi strongly believes in taking his time to listen to patients. He never rushes appointments, and he realizes that taking a thorough history and performing a comprehensive examination often reveal important clues about a patient’s illness. He is always ready and willing to listen as patients describe their medical history, symptoms, and concerns.
Dr. Ausi lives with his wife, Dareen, and two boys, Jude and Elie, in Upper St. Clair. Dareen is a Pittsburgh native, and Dr. Ausi has come to love this area as well.
An avid soccer fan, Dr. Ausi plays with a local soccer team during his free time. He also enjoys playing pool and football. After a day of helping patients, his favorite activity is spending time with his boys playing football, baseball, or soccer.
